30 DAYS OF YOGA

 Hey Everyone,

I hope you all had an amazing weekend! Today,  I wanted to share my new found love for yoga. I am by no means a yogi and I barely know what I am doing to be honest. I have seen a ton of people posting about yoga and I decided I wanted to give it a try. I made it one of my new years resolutions but really had no idea where to start. I didn't want to show up at a class without having a clue what to do. So like with most things I turned to YouTube. I found a girl by the name of Yoga with Adriene (link below). She has a playlist on her channel called 30 days of yoga for beginning yoga. I have only been doing it for a little over a week but I love it so far. I even brought my yoga mat in my luggage when I went away for a night because I didn't want to miss a day (crazy right?).

Let me tell why I love it so much:

-It forces me to disconnect and take time for just me. With two kids, it can be really difficult to take any interrupted time for myself. Once I get the boys in bed, I get my mat and take 20 -30 min just to myself. While focusing on the moves and my breathing, I am not able to think about anything else. My mind gets much a needed (albeit short) mental vacation each day.

-It's actually a really good workout. Being into fitness, I always looked at yoga as easy and not enough of a challenge for me. Boy was I wrong, in some portions of the session I am sweating and my heart rate is through the roof. Don't let the relaxing mat fool you lol.

-In just a week, I can already see the difference in my core strength. The moves really work your core and force it to strengthen each time you do it. And really who doesnt want a stronger midsection.

If you are at all interested in trying it, this is a perfect way to do so. Just get a mat and turn on your computer and you can try it in the comfort of your own home.

Hope you guys have a fab Monday!

P.S. I finally found my vlog camera, so I will be uploading pictures and some footage this week.

Update!

Hey everyone,

I hope you are doing well!! I know, I know, long time no talk and I am so sorry for that. When things get crazy over here I tend to put myself and the things I want to get done on the back burner (I know story of a mom). Its been busy few months to say the least. March was Tayden's 1st birthday, my hubby's birthday the next day, and the end of the month was our 8 year anniversary. April was little Tony's birthday and house hunting. And if you know me, you know I love to throw parties and I plan them and put it all together myself. Needless to say I feel like I haven't been able to take a breath. I have some pictures and a little vlog footage from the boys birthdays and our anniversary, if you all would be interested in seeing them let me know and Ill put together a slide show for you all :).

Secondly, another thing I constantly battle with is having that perfectionist mindset. Where that fits in regards to my blog or youtube is that I tend to not to post or film if things aren't perfect in my mind. I have a 1 year old (as many of you know) and I am constantly working on losing all of my baby weight and even though I have lost a lot of it, I feel like if I am not at my goal weight that I cant be a help to other women until I am. And same thing for my youtube, there are lot of videos I want to film or think will be beneficial to people but then I think that because I am not an "expert" on those things that it wont be helpful. I definitely feel social media helps add to those feelings, because it always seems like everyone has it all together. But I can assure you that nothing is perfect and we all have battles we face every day. But I decided I am going to do my best to just blog and youtube about what I want to and hopefully someone can find the information helpful and beneficial!

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday :)!
