PAMPER DAY 101

Hey Everyone,

I hope you guys have had a fabulous week! My little one has been sick the past two days so I have had my hands full taking care of him. As the weekend is approaching, I wanted to share my pamper routine and some of the products I use. I usually do these twice a week on Wednesday evening and Sunday evening.

Taking care of my skin is really important but it doesn't just stop with my face. It's so important to properly take care of your body. I know that sometimes we get soo busy that the last person we tend to take care of, is ourselves. This routine is important not only for your skin but also for your sanity. So put the kids to bed and take an hour for yourself twice a week. I promise your mind and body will thank you!

I don't know if I am weird or not but before I take a bath, I always take a shower first. I feel like showers get you clean and baths are for relaxing lol. If I have time before my shower, I will put some of the Palmer's coconut hairdress in my hair and let it sit for a couple hours. The coconut oil hairdress acts like a hair mask and helps give your hair back moisture that you lose by using heat products. I will then thoroughly wash it out in the shower. After I have cleansed my body, I will exfoliate. I found this next product on a whim at target, Shea Moisture body scrub, and it is AMAZING! It exfoliates but also leaves your body feeling moisturized and so smooth once its done. I then use the EOS shave cream and shave. I love this shave cream because its not a foam or your normal shave gel. It's almost like shaving with lotion, so it's moisturizing too! I always wash my face in the shower with my clarisonic and my Chanel face wash. After I am done showering, I use my Michael Todd avocado and mango mask. I just purchased a few products from Michael Todd last month and I am loving both of them. This mask literally feels like food for your face, its moisturizing and literally feels like a treat! I then turn my bath on and add my Philosophy Cinnamon Bun bubble bath in. And yes, it DOES smell like cinnamon buns. It's not too strong that it is too much but just enough to feel like a sweet treat for your body!

Now It's time to RELAX! I always like to light a few candles. My favorite right now are the Mahogany Teakwood Bath and Body Works candles. They almost smell like mens cologne, this gives the bath a nice sexy smell! I also grab some of my favorite magazines and/or my kindle if I am reading a book at the time and I zone out for as long as my heart desires.

After I am done in the bath, its now time to moisturize! Lately I have been using this PINK body butter. Its not the best body butter I have used, but it smells nice and does the job! I also moisturize my face with the Origins Night-A-Mins moisturizer. This thing is bananas, the next morning your face feels so hydrated and refreshed. For my lips, I use the Fresh Sugar scrub and balm combination. The scrub is so easy to use and once I am done my lips are ready for any lipstick or lipgloss I decide to put on them the next day. I also use the Mary Kay soothing eye gel for my under eye area. It is a cooling gel that helps reduce puffiness and discoloration. I then get dressed and use a couple squirts of the Zara chocolate perfume. It's a light, inexpensive fragrance, that I got at the register while purchasing clothes. I really like the sweet smell and 1-2 squirts is all you need. If you can't tell, I love my share of smell good things!

The last step in my pamper night, is painting my nails. You can choose any color you like, I currently have this Dior color on my nails right now. Its a pretty coral color with a hint of gold shimmer. Very pretty for spring/summer. But if I have to recommend anything, it's the Seche Vite fast dry topcoat. It is crazy, how fast your nails dry when you use this. It drys your nails from the bottom to the top, so once they are dry you don't have to worry about them smudging. You literally need 2 minutes and you are good to go. It has been a lifesaver for me, because I hate having to wait forever for my nails to dry.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and you take the time to give yourself a pamper day or night! I tried to find links for the most of the products I use, so you can check them out for yourself! Also, a few people have been asking me how to follow my blog, if you look to the right of the blog you will see 'follow by email' with a box underneath it. If you enter your email it'll notify you when I write a new post.

Life SHOULD Change After Kids

Hey Everyone!

I hope everything is great! Sorry for the infrequent posts last week. Little Tony was on spring break so my days were spent with him hanging out and having family fun nights.

I know everyone may not have kids that read this blog but I still wanted to do this post. I see soooooo (I really could put o's for days but I think you get the point) many people having kids and acting like it's no big deal. Well news flash it is! Having a child is a huge deal and its a huge responsibility that you now have for the rest of your life.

I feel like children are a blessing from God (I know everyone says that), but they are. I feel like if you are blessed enough to have them its your job to raise them in a way that would be pleasing to Him. You are raising the future president, CEO, government official, etc...

So to my point, when you have kids your life SHOULD change. If it doesnt, you are honestly doing something wrong. You should no longer be watching the same shows you may or may not have been watching before you had them in front of them. If you cursed like a sailor prior to children, you should probably rethink your word usage when they come. If you went out every single weekend, that definitely should and will change.

Your children didn't ask to be here, you chose to have them or chose to engage in 'some action' that brought them here. Your children look up to you as an example of the behavior they should and shouldn't engage in.

I take parenting so seriously and it literally breaks my heart when I see people that are abusing that privilege. It is a huge sacrifice but it's honestly worth every bit of it. When you do things that affect your child in a negative way, its not just you that is hurting.

If you happen to be a single mom and are dating, be careful of how many men you bring around your daughters. They dont understand the dynamics of dating so to them it looks like its normal to have men in and out of your life. If your children watch you in abusive relationships day in and out, they will assume that this how a normal relationship is and they will expect that for their future.

I know this may be a long-winded rant but I write all this to say, if you don't have kids and aren't ready to change the way you live drastically then please don't have them until you are. And secondly, if you do have kids think about your kids before anything you do. Your life is no longer your own, so please consider all people involved.
